The Manifesto
The mountain is a laboratory of the world to come
We live and work in the mountains and we witness a major transformation on a daily basis. Climate disruption affects us all. Mountain territories are on the front line and must prepare for the changes that result from it.
Skiing currently carries most of the mountain economy and allows millions of people to enjoy unforgettable experiences there. It will remain a major attraction for many years, an attraction that must be strengthened while anticipating and supporting these changes as effectively as possible.
In this context, public, economic and associative stakeholders clearly understand the value of jointly shaping, from now on, what life in the mountains will look like tomorrow.
A collective that develops along two pillars: an action laboratory (think tank) and a digital media.
An ideas and action laboratory to identify avenues, to evolve our economic and tourism models within planetary boundaries, to push lines towards more local life and towards governance adapted to territories.
A media to make the choice of speech. Speech to inspire, to motivate, to bring together and create a dynamic of action. To share with all generations, so as not to give up in the face of battles ahead — so that everyone can in turn become ‘Mountain Change Makers’ and create a broad community acting for the mountain, this 21st century refuge.
